🚫 Why am I seeing the error “Unable to connect to server” on my Samsung digital signage screen?
If your Samsung screen displays an “Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later.” error while using EasySignage, it usually means the device is having trouble accessing the internet or reaching the app server. Here’s how to fix it.
How do I fix “Unable to connect to server” on my Samsung Tizen screen?
Follow the steps below to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Date/Time Settings:
Incorrect date and time settings on your Samsung Tizen can lead to server communication issues and block access. Ensure that the correct date and time are set to be able to download the EasySignage application. To check:
Go to Menu > System > Date & Time, and verify the settings.
Set the date and time to “Auto” or adjust them manually to the correct local time.
2. Check Network Connection:
Ensure your Samsung Tizen device has a stable internet connection, as a weak network may cause connectivity issues.
Go to Settings → Network → Network Status. Review the network settings for connection success or failure.
Verify your network firewall settings, as restrictions may prevent the EasySignage application from connecting to the server.
If you still can’t download the application, try using a mobile hotspot, as these networks tend to have fewer restrictions.
3. Check the App URL:
Go to URL Launcher Settings.
Make sure you’ve entered the correct EasySignage URL, as it is case-sensitive, and only lowercase letters should be used.
