How do I schedule a playlist?
Scheduling content on your digital signage screen with EasySignage is simple and flexible. It gives you complete control over when, where, and how long your content plays.
After creating a playlist, you can schedule it by setting a start and end time, choosing specific days of the week, or even targeting a specific date range.
To schedule content:
Go to the Schedules section in your EasySignage dashboard.
Click Add New Schedule.
Choose a default playlist to play when no schedule is available.
On the calendar, select the date and time you want.
Add your desired playlist to the schedule and save.
Assign the schedule to your screen.
Click “Publish” to send the updates to your screen.
This allows you to create dynamic content rotations, such as displaying morning promotions, lunchtime menus, or evening announcements—all automatically without manual intervention.
Can I schedule individual media items inside a playlist?
Yes!
You can set a Media Lifetime for each item within a playlist. This means you can control:
- Start date and end date for each image or video.
- Specific start and end times per day.
This is useful for content like:
- Limited-time promotions
- Time-sensitive announcements
- Dayparted content (e.g., breakfast menu from 6–11 AM)
