# Can I Daypart My Screen to Show Different Content at Different Times of the Day?

Learn how to daypart your digital signage so different playlists and media play in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

## What is dayparting, and can I do it in EasySignage?

Dayparting means splitting the day into parts, such as morning, midday, and evening, and showing different content in each one.

Yes, you can daypart your screens in EasySignage. For example, you can:

-   Show breakfast menus in the morning

-   Switch to lunch promotions at noon

-   Display evening offers or announcements later in the day

There are two ways to set it up:

-   **Schedules** switch the whole playlist on a screen at set times. Create multiple schedules for the same screen, each covering a different time slot.
-   **[Playback Times](https://easysignage.com/digital-signage-features/media-lifetime/)** control a single layer inside one playlist, with a date range and a weekly schedule of up to 3 time slots per day.

Use schedules when the whole screen should change, and playback times when only one item, like the breakfast menu, should come and go.

## Can I create recurring schedules?

Yes, EasySignage supports recurring schedules. You can set playlists or media to repeat:

-   Daily
-   Weekly (e.g., every Monday and Friday)
-   Weekends only
-   Specific days of the week

This saves you time and ensures your content always runs on time.

## What happens when the scheduled time ends?

Once a playlist or media item reaches its end date or time, it will automatically stop playing and be removed from the active playback cycle.
You can always extend or update schedules from the dashboard at any time.
