How to Turn Google TV into a Digital Signage Display?

How to setup Google TV as a digital signage screen?

 

Step 1: Install EasySignage app on your Google TV

Option 1: Install from the Google Play Store

  • Go to the Google Play Store on your Google TV
  • Use the search function to find EasySignage
  • Click Install
  • Open the app once installed

Option 2: Install via APK (if Play Store is not available or for manual setup)

  • Download the latest EasySignage APK from the players page.
  • Click on Android APK to download.
  • Transfer the APK to your Google TV via USB, cloud storage, or a file-sharing app like Send Files to TV.
  • Press on the APK file to install.
  • Enable “Install from unknown sources” when prompted.
  • Click on “Install” to start installing the app.

 

Step 2: Pair Your Google TV with EasySignage

  1. Launch the EasySignage app
  2. A unique pairing code will appear
  3. Log in to your EasySignage account
  4. Go to the Screens section and click Add New Screen
  5. Enter the code to connect the device
  6. Your Google TV is now registered and ready to play your scheduled signage content!

 

How to auto-launch EasySignage on boot for Google TV?

Follow the steps below. Note that the exact steps may vary depending on your TV’s Android version.

Step 1:
Go to Settings > Apps > Special app access > Display over other apps > Ensure that the “EasySignage” is ON.

Or: Go to Settings > Device Preferences > Quick Start > Toggle the Quick Start switch to the On position.

Step 2: 

  1. Go to the “Safety Guard” app on your TV.
  2. Select “Permission shield”.
  3. Select “Auto launch permission”.
  4. First, toggle “Auto manager” to Closed.
  5. then, toggle “EasySignage” to Opened.

Go to Settings > Device Preferences > Restart.
