Learn how to install EasySignage on Ubuntu or Fedora Linux devices.

## How to set up a Linux device as a digital signage player with EasySignage?

Easily transform any **Ubuntu** or **Fedora-based** device into a cloud-powered digital signage player using EasySignage.

Before installing EasySignage, ensure a distraction-free environment:

- Install the latest Chrome or Chromium

-   Disable screen saver/automatic lock:
    Go to **Settings → Privacy → Screen Lock**, and set _Automatic Screen Lock_ to **Off**

-   Disable notifications:
    In **Settings → Notifications**, turn _Do Not Disturb_ **On** and _Lock Screen Notifications_ **Off**

-   Prevent screen sleep:
    Under **Settings → Power → Power Saving Option**, set _Screen Blank_ to **Never**

-   Clean up interfering apps:
    Remove unused applications and disable automatic app updates to avoid popup interruptions

### ⚙️ Installation Steps

- **Open Terminal**, then paste and run the installation command for your system (64-bit Linux):

    ```
    /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://appds.io/linux64.sh)"
    ```

- This script installs the EasySignage player, creates a **digital-signage folder** in your **home directory**, and configures **auto-launch** at startup.

-   Reboot your device:
    Restart your device by writing **reboot** in the terminal.

### Pairing and Getting Started

- After reboot, the EasySignage player launches automatically and shows a **pairing code**

- In your [EasySignage dashboard](https://app.easysignage.com/) , navigate to **Screens → Add New Screen** and enter the code

- Once paired, your Linux device is ready to display playlists, live streams, web content, and more
