How do I set up my Android TV as a digital signage?

Using EasySignage with an Android TV is a simple and flexible way to power your digital signage. Whether you’re using a built-in Android TV or an external Android media player, setup is fast with installation options via the Google Play Store or APK.

Step 1: Check Device Compatibility

Before installing, ensure your device meets the following:

  • Runs Android 5.0 or higher
  • Has access to the Google Play Store or allows APK sideloading
  • It is connected to the internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)

Compatible devices include:

  • Android TVs from brands like Sony, Philips, TCL, Hisense, etc.
  • Android TV boxes (e.g., NVIDIA Shield, Mi Box, Fire Stick with Android launcher)

Step 2: Install the EasySignage App

  • Option 1: Install via Google Play Store

    1. On your Android TV, open the Google Play Store
    2. Search for EasySignage
    3. Click Install, then open the app after installation

 

  • Option 2: Install via Apps Page

    1. On your Android TV, go to Apps
    2. Search for easysignage
    3. Click Install, then open the app after installation

 

  • Option 3: Install via APK (Manual Installation)

    If your device does not support the Play Store or you prefer direct installation:

    1. On a computer, go to the digital signage download page.
    2. Click on download ANDROID APK to download the latest APK file.
    3. Transfer it to your Android TV using a USB drive or a file-sharing app.
    4. Press the APK file to install the app.
    5. Allow “Install from Unknown Sources” when prompted.
    6. Then click “Install”.

Step 3: Pair Your Screen with EasySignage

  • After launching the EasySignage app, you will see a pairing code
  • Log in to your EasySignage account
  • Go to the Screens section and click Add New Screen
  • Enter the code to complete the pairing process
