# How to Rotate Digital Signage to Portrait Mode?

Learn how to rotate your digital signage screens to portrait (vertical) orientation with EasySignage.

## How do I rotate a digital signage screen to portrait mode?

You can switch a display to portrait (vertical) orientation directly from the screen settings in your [EasySignage dashboard](https://app.easysignage.com/) .

-   Open the management console and navigate to **Screens**
-   Click the settings button next to the screen name
-   In screen details, click **Rotate Screen**
-   Choose **Vertical**: 90 degrees
-   Click **Save**
-   The screen rotates to the selected orientation

## What orientations can I choose for my screen?

EasySignage supports four orientations, so you can set the display to portrait, landscape, or a flipped version of either.

-   **Horizontal**: 0 degrees
-   **Vertical**: 90 degrees
-   **Horizontal Flipped**: 180 degrees
-   **Vertical Flipped**: 270 degrees

## Why did my playlist disappear after rotating to vertical?

When you rotate a screen to **Vertical**, the screen type changes to vertical, and the media source may be cleared because vertical playlists are different from horizontal playlists.

-   After rotating to **Vertical**, the screen type changes to vertical
-   The existing media source may be cleared
-   Click **Set Screen Content** and assign a matching playlist/channel/group/schedule

## Can I rotate the content without changing the physical display orientation?

Yes, EasySignage includes a fake rotation option that reports the opposite orientation without changing the physical display orientation.

-   In screen details, click **Rotate Screen**
-   Enable **fake rotation** to report the opposite orientation while keeping the physical display orientation unchanged
