EasySignage includes built-in social media apps that let you show live feeds on your screens by adding an app to a playlist layer in the management console.

To add a social media app:

  • Go to the management console
  • Click on the playlist, then the layer where you want to add the social media app
  • If the layer has no media, the apps dialog will open. Otherwise, click on Add New
  • Choose the social media app you want to display
  • Configure the app details, then click Save and Publish

 

How do I display my Instagram feed on digital signage?

The Instagram app lets you display photos, videos, and reels from your Instagram account directly on your screens. Instagram only allows Business and Creator accounts to connect via this integration, so personal accounts must be converted before proceeding.

To add Instagram:

  • Go to the management console
  • Click on the playlist, then the layer where you will add the Instagram app
  • If the layer has no media, the apps dialog will open. Otherwise, click on Add New
  • Click on Social Media
  • Choose Instagram

Use the Twitter/X app to display feeds, tweets, and hashtags on your screens by connecting an account and selecting the content you want to show.

To add X (Twitter):

  • Go to the management console
  • Click on the playlist, then the layer where you will add Twitter
  • If the layer has no media, the apps dialog will open. Otherwise, click on Add New
  • Click on Social Media
  • Click on Twitter
  • Type in the Twitter account (without @)
  • Choose the number of tweets
  • Click Save
  • When the tweets are ready, you can view them

 

How do I create a social media wall on digital signage?

The Social Walls app aggregates and displays real-time social media content from platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest on your screens. You first generate a display URL from the Social Walls platform, then add it to EasySignage.

To set up a social wall:

  • Go to the Social Walls app and choose the wall you want to share
  • Click the Display button at the bottom left corner
  • Select the platform Digital Display, then choose Digital Signage
  • Click on EasySignage
  • Click the generated link to copy the display wall URL
  • Go to the management console
  • Click on the playlist, then the layer where you want to add the Social Walls app
  • If the layer has no media, the Apps dialog will open. Otherwise, click on Add New
  • Go to General Apps and choose SocialWalls
  • Paste the copied URL link in the designated field
  • Check the Enable checkbox to auto-reload the app every X minutes, and set the refresh interval
  • Check the Enable checkbox to allow zooming, then use the scroll feature to zoom in and out
  • Click Save, then Publish

 

How do I revoke digital signage access to my Instagram account?

You can disconnect EasySignage from your Instagram account at any time from within Instagram’s own settings.

To revoke access:

  • Open the Instagram app
  • Scroll down in the left bar to More
  • Select Settings
  • Under Your App and Media, click App Website Permissions
  • Click Apps and Websites
  • In the Active tab, you will see all connected apps
  • Click Remove next to the Digital Signage-IG app to disconnect it
