How do I add a clock to my digital signage?
You can add a clock to any screen using the World Clock app in the EasySignage management dashboard.
To add the World Clock app:
- Go to the management console
- Click on the playlist and then on the layer where you want to add the clock
- Go to General Apps then choose World-Clock
Can I choose between an analog and a digital clock?
Yes, the World Clock app includes over 28 themes across two families so you can match the look of any environment.
Available theme families include:
Digital themes, with styles including Minimal, Neon, Flip, Rounded, Condensed, Dot Matrix, Glass, Outline, Block, Split Modern, and LED Bar
Analog themes, with styles including Swiss, Chronograph, Gradient Dial, Ultra Minimal, Thin Line, Shadow Dial, Open Face, Bold Index, Sweep Modern, Classic Numbers, Roman Numerals, Art Deco, Modern Numbers, Sweep Numbers, Bold Numbers, Shadow Numbers, Minimal Numbers, and Chrono Numbers
How do I customize the clock’s timezone and appearance?
Each clock can be tailored using the app options, so you can set the correct time and align the clock with your branding.
You can configure:
- Theme to select the visual style from 28+ digital and analog designs
- Timezone by entering a location or UTC offset (e.g. +1100)
- Time Format to display time in 12-hour or 24-hour format
- Show Date to display the current date below the time (applicable only in digital designs)
- Clock Label to add custom text such as a city name, department, or office location
- Font Color for the clock digits, hands, and labels
- Background Color behind the clock
How do I show the date and time on my screens?
Use the Date and Time app to display real-time date and time for a chosen location on your signage.
To add a date and time widget:
- Go to the management console
- Click on the playlist then the layer where you will add the Date and Time App
- Click on Date and time apps
- Click on one of the date time presets, such as Date and Time (24Hrs), Date and Time, Digital Clock (24Hrs), or Digital Clock
- Type the location you want to display date and time for, then click the desired location from the list
- Click Save
The preview shows the app; the real date and time appears on the screen after publishing. To change the location, click Edit and type in a new location.
How do I add a countdown timer to digital signage?
The Countdown app lets you count down to an event or deadline directly on your screens.
To set up a countdown:
- Add a Date and Time app to your layer and choose the Countdown app
- Type in the countdown text
- Type in the countdown message shown at the end of the countdown
- Pick the date and time for the end of the countdown
- Check Show weeks when applicable to include weeks; if left unchecked, the countdown shows days, hours, minutes, and seconds
- Type in the location of the countdown to adjust it to a certain timezone date and time
