# How to Set Up New Screens with an AI Assistant?

Ask Claude or ChatGPT to pre-provision new digital signage players by serial number, with a name, playlist and tags, before they are installed.

## How does it work?

Pre-provisioning prepares screens in EasySignage before they come online. You give each player’s serial number a name, a playlist and tags. When the player connects for the first time, it joins your account and applies those settings by itself, so the installer only has to plug it in.

With a connected assistant, you can paste a list of serial numbers and locations and let it set everything up in one go.

## What do I need before I start?

-   An EasySignage Premium or Enterprise plan
-   One free screen licence for each player you set up
-   The serial number of each player

## What can I ask?

-   “Pre-provision these 12 serial numbers. Name them Store 101 to Store 112, set the Store Loop playlist, and tag them _store_ and _nsw_.”
-   “Here’s a spreadsheet of serial numbers, store names and regions. Pre-provision one screen per row, tagged with its region.”
-   “How many free licences do I have?”
-   “Which pre-provisioned screens haven’t connected yet?”

## What should I check?

-   **Licences.** Each pre-provisioned player uses a licence. If you don’t have enough, add licences first.
-   **Serial numbers.** Check them carefully. A player only picks up its settings when its serial number matches.
-   **Orientation.** Choose playlists that match how each screen will be mounted.
