How to Schedule a Campaign with an AI Assistant?

Ask Claude or ChatGPT to schedule a playlist on your digital signage screens for set dates and times, using EasySignage schedules and the MCP server.

How does scheduling with an assistant work?

You describe the campaign in one message: the playlist, the screens or group, and the dates and times. The assistant creates an EasySignage schedule with a default playlist for the rest of the time, adds your campaign to it, and assigns the schedule to the screens. It’s the same schedule you’d build by hand in Schedules, so you can open and change it there afterwards.

What do I need before I start?

  • An EasySignage Premium or Enterprise plan
  • An AI assistant connected to EasySignage with Full access to Schedules and Screens, and Read only access to Playlists and Groups. See How to Connect an AI Assistant to EasySignage
  • The campaign playlist, already built, in the same orientation as the screens

What can I ask?

  • “Schedule the Summer Sale playlist on the Sydney group from 1 December to 31 December, and play Store Loop the rest of the time.”
  • “Play the Breakfast Menu from 6am to 11am every weekday on the screens tagged cafe.”
  • “Show the Open Day playlist on the Reception screen on 14 November from 9am to 3pm.”
  • “What is scheduled on the Lobby screen next week?”

What should I check?

  • The default playlist. When nothing is scheduled, a screen plays the schedule’s default playlist. Tell the assistant which one to use.
  • Orientation. A schedule only uses playlists of one orientation, horizontal or vertical. Ask the assistant to check the playlists match the screens.
  • The screen’s clock. Schedules follow each screen’s own date and time zone. If a campaign starts at the wrong time, check the screen’s time zone.
  • Publishing. Ask the assistant to publish to the screens when it’s done, so they receive the schedule.
