How to Get a Proof of Play Report with an AI Assistant?

Ask Claude or ChatGPT how many times an ad or campaign played, on which screens and when, from your EasySignage proof of play records.

What can the assistant report?

Proof of play records every time a tracked media item plays: the screen, the playlist, the media name, its tags, how long it played and when. A connected assistant can read those records for a date range and summarise them, for example plays per screen, plays per day, or total play time for one campaign. It’s useful when an advertiser or a manager asks “did it run, and how often?”

What do I need before I start?

  • An EasySignage Enterprise plan, because proof of play is an Enterprise feature
  • Proof of play turned on for your account and for the media you want to report on. Records only exist from the time you turn it on. See Proof of Play
  • An AI assistant connected to EasySignage. Read only access is enough. See How to Connect an AI Assistant to EasySignage

What can I ask?

  • “How many times did the Summer Sale video play last week, per screen?”
  • “Total plays and play time for media tagged clientA in October.”
  • “Which screens played the Open Day ad fewer than 50 times this month?”
  • “Make a table of plays per day for the Coffee Promo, for the last 14 days.”

Tag campaign media with the client or campaign name before it runs. Asking by tag is the simplest way to get one client’s report.

Can I share the report?

Ask the assistant for a table you can copy into an email or spreadsheet. For an official record, you can still export the full CSV from Screens > Proof of play > Export as CSV, or open the proof of play dashboard. Plays can take up to about 15 minutes to appear.
