How to Find Who Changed a Screen with an AI Assistant?

Ask Claude or ChatGPT who published, changed, or deleted content, and get the answer from the EasySignage audit log through the MCP server.

What can the assistant find out?

A connected assistant reads the EasySignage audit log with the list_logs tool. For each change it can tell you who made it, the action (such as publish, set source, update, or delete), the old and new values, the time, the city and country of the request, and whether it came from the web app or the API.

Changes made by an AI assistant appear under its API key name, which starts with MCP:, so you can check what an assistant did too.

What do I need before I start?

  • An EasySignage Enterprise plan, because the audit log is an Enterprise feature
  • An AI assistant connected to EasySignage. Read only access is enough

What can I ask?

  • “Who published to the Lobby screen in the last 24 hours?”
  • “Why is the Lobby screen showing the wrong playlist since this morning?”
  • “Who deleted the Summer Sale video?”
  • “What changed in the Store Loop playlist this week?”
  • “Show every change made through the API or an AI assistant today”

Give a time window and the exact screen or media name for the most precise answer. The assistant only reads during an investigation. If it suggests a fix, it asks before making any change.

Is the audit log information private?

The audit log includes email addresses and IP addresses. Share the answers only with people who need them.
