How to Check What a Screen Is Playing with an AI Assistant?
Ask Claude or ChatGPT what a digital signage screen is set to play now and what comes next, from its playlist, channel, group or schedule.
What can the assistant tell me?
Each screen plays one source: a playlist, a channel, a group or a schedule. A connected assistant reads which source a screen is set to and what that source contains, and for a schedule, what is on at a given time and what comes next. It answers questions like “why is the cafe screen still showing breakfast?” without you opening the screen, the schedule and the playlist one by one.
To find out who changed a screen, rather than what it plays, see How to Find Who Changed a Screen with an AI Assistant .
What do I need before I start?
- An EasySignage Premium or Enterprise plan
- An AI assistant connected to EasySignage. Read only access to Screens, Playlists, Channels, Groups and Schedules is enough. See How to Connect an AI Assistant to EasySignage
What can I ask?
- “What is the Reception screen set to play?”
- “What does the Cafe screen’s schedule play at 1pm today, and what’s next?”
- “Which screens are playing the Summer Sale playlist?”
- “List every screen and its current source, grouped by location.”
What if the screen shows something different?
The assistant reads what the screen is set to play in EasySignage. If the screen itself shows something else:
- Not published yet. Recent changes reach a screen when you publish. Ask the assistant to publish to it.
- Offline. An offline screen keeps playing its last published content. See How to Find Offline Screens with an AI Assistant .
- Wrong time. Schedules follow the screen’s own clock. Check its time zone.
