# Factory Reset for Samsung Displays

This help page provides instructions on how to perform a factory reset on Samsung commercial digital signage displays (SSSP/Tizen). This process restores the device to its original settings to resolve issues or prepare it for a new EasySignage installation.

This guide is intended for advanced users who are familiar with Samsung displays and have the necessary authorization to perform a factory reset. Proceed at your own risk, as there are no guarantees provided.

## How to Factory Reset a Samsung Display:

1.  **Power on the display.**
2.  **Switch the input source** to **HDMI** or **Display Port**.
3.  **Turn off the display** and wait until the **red IR indicator light** appears.
4.  Using the **IR remote control**, enter the following sequence:
    **MUTE → 1 → 8 → 2 → POWER ON**
5.  The display will boot into the **Factory/Service Menu**.
6.  Using the **arrow buttons** on the remote, navigate to **Option** and confirm.
7.  Select **Factory Reset**.
8.  The display will reboot, restoring default settings.
