# EasySignage EZ-2 Setup Guide

The **EasySignage EZ-2 Player** powered by the **Amlogic S905X5M chipset** is a powerful, plug-and-play digital signage device. It comes **pre-installed** with the EasySignage app and a **custom Android OS**, optimized to allocate all hardware resources to signage playback.

The player is **locked down** to the EasySignage app to ensure stability and prevent tampering, making it ideal for commercial deployments.

## Quick Start Guide

### Step 1: Connect Your Player

1.  Connect the **HDMI cable** from the player’s HDMI out port to your display’s HDMI input.
2.  Plug in the **power adapter** that came with the player.
3.  Connect the player to the **internet** (either Wired or Wi-Fi).

Once powered on and connected, the screen will display a **Screen ID**.

### Network Configuration

### Option 1: Wired (Ethernet)

-   Simply connect an **Ethernet cable** to the player’s Ethernet port.
-   Ensure the network has **internet access**.
-   The player will connect automatically.

### Option 2: Wi-Fi

#### \- Option A: Using a Keyboard

1.  Plug in a USB keyboard.
2.  Press **ALT + M** to open the hidden menu.
3.  Enter the default password: **1122**.
4.  Select **Open Settings**.
5.  Go to **Network & Internet > Wi-Fi**.
6.  Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
7.  Restart the player once connected.

#### \- Option B: Using a Mouse

1.  Connect a USB mouse.
2.  Long left-click on the **top-left corner** of the screen for **5 seconds**.
3.  Enter the default password: **1122**.
4.  Follow the same steps above to connect via Wi-Fi.

### Proxy Setup Settings

On the device, set the network proxy as follows:

1.  Open Settings.
2.  Go to Network & Internet or Wi-Fi.
3.  Select the connected Wi-Fi network.
4.  Choose Edit, Modify network, or the pencil icon.
5.  Open Advanced options.
6.  Change Proxy from None to Manual.
7.  Enter:
    -   Proxy hostname/IP address
    -   Proxy port
    -   Optional Bypass proxy for addresses
8.  Save the settings, then disconnect and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.

For a proxy configuration URL, choose Proxy auto-config and enter the PAC URL.

### Step 2: Assign to Your EasySignage Account

1.  Go to [app.easysignage.com](https://app.easysignage.com/) .
2.  Sign in to your account.
3.  Navigate to the **Screens** page and click **“Add Screen”**.
4.  Enter the **Screen ID** shown on your display.

Your player is now linked and ready to receive content.
