Use the RSS Ticker app to scroll the latest headlines from any RSS feed along a strip of the screen, for example news, blog posts or company announcements. The ticker keeps itself up to date from the feed.
Note: Text tickers are only offered for the ticker layer of a built-in layout, for example the 1920 x 120 bottom layer of Layout 3. They are not offered once you resize the layer with Edit Layout.
How to Add an RSS Ticker
- Open the playlist, then click the ticker layer. See Playlist Media Management .
- If the layer is empty, the content apps open. If it already has media, click Add New.
- Click Text Tickers, then RSS Ticker.

- In RSS URL, replace the sample feed with the address of your RSS feed.
- Set the other options:
- Color: the text color
- Background Color: the color of the ticker strip
- Stories Count: how many headlines to show, from 1 to 20 (5 by default)
- Speed: from 2 (slowest) to 10 (fastest)
- Scroll Direction: tick Right to left to change the direction the text scrolls
- Click Save.

- Click Publish changes of this playlist to send the ticker to your screens.
Text Tickers also has ready-made news tickers, such as 9 News and BBC NEWS. They have the same options, but you choose the feed from a list instead of typing a URL.
To show your own messages instead of a feed, use the Custom Ticker .
