Show the latest stories from any RSS feed on your screens, for example your own news, a blog or a public news site. Each story shows its headline, description and image, and new stories appear by themselves.
Note: News Apps are offered on most layers of the built-in layouts, but not on video walls or on a layer you have resized.
How to Add an RSS Feed
- Copy the address of the RSS feed.
- Open the playlist, then click the layer. See Playlist Media Management .
- If the layer is empty, the content apps open. If it already has media, click Add New.
- Click News Apps, then RSS.
- Paste the address in RSS URL.
- Click the theme button (Theme 5 by default) to choose how the stories look: Theme 1 to Theme 5, or Images Only to show only the images, without headlines or descriptions.
- Set the other options:
- Headline Color, Description Color and Background Color
- Stories Count: how many stories to show, from 1 to 10 (5 by default)
- Click Save and wait for the stories to load.
- Use the arrows on the sides of the preview to check the stories, then click Publish changes of this playlist.
To show stories from a well-known news source without a feed address, use the News apps . To scroll headlines along a strip of the screen, use the RSS Ticker . To show images and videos from a feed, use MRSS .
