Instagram App

The Instagram app lets you display your Instagram feed directly on your digital signage screens. Share photos, videos, and reels from your business account and keep your audience engaged with fresh, visual content automatically.

Account Requirement: Instagram only allows Business and Creator accounts to connect via this integration. Personal accounts are not supported. If your account is personal, you will need to convert it before proceeding. Instagram may have specific terms around switching account types, particularly regarding data usage and visibility — check Instagram's current policies before making the switch.

Display Settings

After your account is connected, you can control exactly how your Instagram feed appears on screen.

SettingWhat it does
Content typeChoose what to pull from Instagram — Images only, Videos only, or Both.
Media countThe number of most-recent posts to pull and rotate on screen. New posts replace the oldest automatically on each sync.
ThemeHow each post is framed on screen. See Themes below.
MuteSilences the audio of video posts. See Muting video sound below.

Themes

A theme controls how each post is fitted and framed inside your layer. Instagram posts come in many shapes (square, portrait, landscape), so the theme decides what happens when a post’s shape doesn’t match the shape of the zone it’s placed in.

Each example below shows the same post in a landscape zone (left) and a portrait zone (right).

Media Only

The post is shown exactly as it was published, with no branding added. If the post’s shape doesn’t match the zone, it is stretched to fill the space. Best when your zone already matches the shape of your posts, or when you want the rawest possible look.

Profile Panel

The post is shown in full alongside a branded panel containing your profile picture, account name, caption, and a “Scan to follow us” QR code. Nothing overlaps the post. On portrait zones the panel moves below the post. Best when you want to grow your following and keep your branding visible.

Full Screen

The post fills the entire zone edge to edge. If the post’s shape doesn’t match the zone, the edges are trimmed so the content is never distorted. Best for maximum visual impact when you don’t mind some cropping.

Fit with Blurred Background

The entire post is always shown, centered and never cropped. Any empty space around it is filled with a soft, blurred version of the same post instead of black bars. Best when it’s important that the whole post stays visible.

Tip: Changing the theme automatically refreshes your posts on the next sync; you don't need to remove and re-add the app. It may take a few minutes for updated content to appear on screen after publishing.

Muting video sound

Video posts and reels include their original audio. If your screens are in a quiet space, or you simply don’t want sound, enable the Mute option in the display settings. When muted, all video posts play silently while keeping their full length and visuals.

Mute applies to video posts only, image posts have no audio. Toggling Mute takes effect the next time the playlist is published; you don’t need to re-sync your feed.
