The Media Settings section lets you choose the default settings that media gets when you add it to a playlist. Setting them once saves you changing every image and video by hand.
To open it, click Settings and then Media Settings. Each change is saved as soon as you make it; there is no Save button.
How to configure media settings
1. Default Media Duration:
How long each new item plays in the playlist. Click 5 Seconds, 7 Seconds or 10 Seconds, or type a time in the hh:mm:ss box (for example 00:00:30 for 30 seconds) and click outside the box.
Videos are the exception: they play for their own length.
2. Default Media Stretch to fit the screen:
Tick Stretch to fit the screen if you want new images and videos to fill the whole layer, even if that changes their width-to-height ratio. Leave it unticked to keep their proportions: the media fits inside the layer, with empty space at the sides or top and bottom when the shapes don’t match.
Most apps always fill the layer, and items in a video wall always stretch, whatever this setting says.
3. Default Video Mute:
Tick it to mute new videos when they are added to a playlist.
4. Default Transition:
This is the transition that every new playlist, layer, video wall and channel starts with. Apply to all layers also sets it on every layer you already have. See Default Transition .
N.B: These defaults are used when you add media to a playlist. Media already in your playlists keeps its own settings; change those in the playlist.
